New TORO Flex 18 Pedestrian hugs contours closer for enhanced greens mowing

Lucy Ohstenin Industry News
Toro flex 18 When Toro launched its revolutionary Flex 21 greensmower at an earlier BTME, it was hailed as being able to cut greens closer than anything before. Now the company has gone one further at this year's show by launching the Flex 18, a narrower version with an 18-inch cut that follows contours even more closely to provide enhanced cutting on undulating greens.

Toro says that the machine produces a flawless finish and a faster, truer playing surface.

The new unit incorporates all the features of its wider workmate, starting with its impressive 'flexible' design. Here, it flexes not only from side to side, but backwards and forwards too. This means the mower can hug contours on the most undulating greens, shaving the turf right down to as low as one-sixteenth of an inch, if required, with virtually no scalping.

The Flex 18 is simple and easy to operate, with all controls easily reached via two
handle-mounted levers. For quick and easy maintenance, removing just two bolts separates the cutting unit from the traction unit.

A 4-stroke Kawasaki engine powers the machine to a maximum mowing speed of 5.6km/h.
