STRI bring their International Golf Course Architecture & Consultancy Expertise to Munich 2-4th March

For the first time at FAIRWAY, visitors will be able to check out STRI's full range of services for golf course development in Hall 1 Stand DO8.

Having recently celebrated their 75th anniversary, The Sports Turf Research Institute, based in the UK have a great deal of expertise on design, technical support, agronomy and research to offer golf clubs and developers. They are the official agronomists to the R&A Championship Committee, organisers of the Open Golf Tournament, this year at the Old Course St. Andrews. They have provided golf course architecture and development consultancy for 20 years, with over 200 architecture projects to their credit in Europe and Asia.

Meet Jonathan Tucker and Dave Hemstock, STRI's two Golf Course Architects, who will be on the stand. They are working together to expand STRI's golf portfolio. Recent projects include the design and construction of Royal Ascot Golf Club, Afumati, a city centre academy in Bucharest and Price's Lake, a new 18 hole course near Beijing.

Ecological management, conservation and irrigation services, an integral and vital part of golf development, will also be available at the show. Bob Taylor, STRI's Senior Golf Course Ecologist, who works closely with the R&A, Committed to Green and many golfing association and unions throughout Europe, and Ian MacPherson, one of STRI's Irrigation and Construction Specialists, who has project managed golf work in Germany, Portugal, Turkey and France and Ireland, will also be there to offer help and advice.
