0 November 2017 Sports Pitch Maintenance Diaries

Sports covered are bowls, cricket, rugby, football, golf and tennis

Thankfully, storm Brian has blown over, but it did leave a lot of debris in its wake. For the greenkeepers and groundsmen, that generally means leave, twigs and, in some cases branches and trees, all over their playing surfaces. It's a time consuming and back-breaking job, I know, but they have to be removed before the grass is suffocated and all that Autumn renovations work is wasted.
If you have a number of willing volunteers in the club, now is the time to give them a call.

Our diaries are here to offer some guidance on the work required during the coming month. They are not set in stone, and local conditions will determine the work schedule.

Don't forget, you can also use our Pitchcare Forum, where members can ask for and offer advice on the whole range of sports turf surfaces issues.
