Leicester Racecourse's groundstaff have been recognised in a national awards scheme.
The Oadby track finished runners-up in the racecourse groundstaff awards for courses that stage both flat and jumps racing.
The Oadby team is headed by clerk of the course and estates manager Jimmy Stevenson, backed up by racecourse foreman James Dukes and groundsmen Eddie Ramsden, Martin Johnson and Jake Croft.
They finished second to Doncaster in the awards which are decided by a panel of trainers, jockeys and racecourse inspectors. Stevenson said: "We know we are not Sandown or Ascot, but it is nice to get some recognition.
