PA Weather Centre to demonstrate WeatherCast at SALTEX

By EditorPAweathermap.jpg

As far as the weather is concerned this summer, and even by British standards, we have suffered an incredibly mixed bag. For ground staff preparing pitches, wickets, greens etc. things haven't been easy. They need accurate, localised and regularly updated weather forecasts and PA WeatherCentre is able to provide just that.

In recent years increasing numbers of sporting clubs and venues have turned to WeatherCast, PC software developed by PA WeatherCentre, which allows users to access, via the internet, all the latest satellite and radar imagery as well as a comprehensive set of forecast information put together by their experienced team of forecasters.

It is the radar facility that sets WeatherCast apart from other weather forecasting services and is why it proves so popular within the sporting sector. Actual precipitation is displayed on maps with powerful zoom capabilities and road and river network overlays. Any UK location can be flagged up on the map and users can accurately track and predict rainfall in terms of both timing and quantity.

Currently, football and cricket clubs make up the bulk of WeatherCast users from within the sporting sector. However, high profile motor racing teams as well as tennis and golf clubs also take full advantage, and the our client list is growing quickly.

PA WeatherCentre will be demonstrating WeatherCast at this year's IOG SALTEX, and encourage everyone to visit our stand and take a look.

Their stand is EH21a and is located in the Exhibition Hall adjacent to the South Entrance.
