Pinsent Awarded fifth Gold by POWAKADDY
PowaKaddy creates 'GoldenKaddy' for four-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent and raise money for charity in the process
PowaKaddy, the world's leading electronic golf trolley company has presented four time Olympic Gold medallist Sir Matthew Pinsent a specially commissioned 'ULTIMATE GOLF TOY' to celebrate his incredible gold medal haul and raise money for charity at the same time. Adapted from the world's best selling PowaKaddy Freeway Sport Digital, the GoldenKaddy, as it has been nicknamed, is 9 carat gold-plated!
Pinsent was presented with his new machine at the Sportsman's Dinner held in his honour at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London just before Christmas. The dinner was one of many events in Sir Matthew's testimonial year, granted by the Amateur Rowing Association in recognition of his incredible contribution to both to rowing and British sport.
Most importantly the exclusive 'GoldenKaddy' helped raise funds for Matthew's three nominated charities: Sparks, Mark Lees Foundation and the British Olympic Foundation. Only two GoldenKaddys will ever be made; Pinsent's personal trolley and a second one that was auctioned at The Sportsman's Dinner as part of a whole array of Charity Auction prizes that raised over £50,000 on the night.
The 'GoldenKaddy' follows on from previous designs specially commissioned by PowaKaddy for pop stars Ronan Keating and Brian McFadden.
In recent years a PowaKaddy has become the 'must have' state-of-the-art golfing companion for a growing sector of younger golfers who are realising the performance benefits the market leading electric golf trolley can bring to their game. Recent converts to PowaKaddy include sports stars such as international footballers Alan Shearer, David Seaman, Lee Sharpe and Phil Babb, as well as Rugby legend Keith Wood and of course Olympian Sir Matthew Pinsent.
While the 'GoldenKaddy' is a one-off , PowaKaddy has also unveiled a new flagship product for 2006 called the P5. Packed with new innovative features the P5 has already been tipped as a 'status symbol' for 2006 and will ensure that PowaKaddy stays at the forefront of electric golf cart technology.
PowaKaddy International Ltd is owned by European Golf Brands Holdings, the world's largest manufacturer of electronic golf trolleys.
