Plain Sailing at Hayling

Press Releasein Industry News
hayling island The beautiful natural links of Hayling Golf Club has become the latest course to benefit from a Soil Reliever, deep tine aerator.

Course Manager, Lauchlan Millar, is a third generation greenkeeper, with many years 'links' and machinery experience. 'It's great to have a machine which is really simple for the operator to set up and use and just as simple to maintain. The SR54 proved itself on demonstration and we haven't looked back since. The speed and smoothness of finish makes it ideal for our greens and tees and I was very impressed by the wide choice of aeration tines'.

The natural links of the Hayling course occupies a spit of land separating Langstone Harbour and the Solent. The course features extensive areas of SSSI and provides a habitat for nationally scare plants, insect's waders and wildfowl. The club came into existence in 1883, largely through the interest and finances of the Sandeman family, of Sherry & Port fame, and was once described by Bernard Darwin as 'some of the finest natural seaside country to be found anywhere'.
