Pre Match Warm Ups damage - current situation

Pitchcare have been notified by the Football League that the issue of pre match warm ups and damage caused by goalkeepers will discussed at the next meeting of the Professional Game Match Officials early this month.

Jim Ashworth, National Group Manager for the Playing Surfaces Committee, stresses that he is anxious to make some progress with the match officials on this issue. Following this meeting he will write to FL clubs asking for their co-operation in respect of any groundman's requests to warm up in any particular area. A similar letter will also be forwarded, by the FAPL, to their 20 clubs.

The Football League has also confirmed that they are happy to receive any additional comment from Pitchcare members.
