Typhoon ZT model with mulching deck (LEFT) and Typhoon 300 ZT mowers with a variety of A new range of
innovative zero-turn interchangeable
decks is now available from Rustons
Engineering.
The Typhoon ZT mowers are available with
18hp petrol engines or 20.5hp diesel
engines and can be fitted with mulching,
rear-discharge or collecting decks to
suit different requirements.
The decks have a quick change-over system, and flail and scarifier
heads can also be fitted. Cutting widths range from 110cm to 130cm
depending on the deck used.
Reco is selling the machines in three basic specifications -- the
non-collecting Typhoon ZT, the Typhoon 300 ZT with 300-litre collecting
hopper, and the Typhoon 700 ZT, which has a 700-litre hopper and is
also available in a 190cm high-tip version.
The mowers have particularly good grass collection performance and
include an anti-blockage system and a central delivery pipe that runs
within the machine, avoiding the impact damage that occurs when this
part of the equipment protrudes from the side. A three-blade impeller
blows the grass evenly into a rear hopper, which cannot be over-filled
and block the collection system. In wet conditions engine exhaust can
be diverted to aid collection and reduce blockage risk.
