Remarkable turnout for John Osman Groundcare's Demo day at Vale LLangollen GC

John Osman Groundcare Ltd, Ransomes Jacobson local dealer based in Oswestry Shropshire, held a demonstration day at the Vale of Llangollen Golf Club to highlight the latest Jacobsen hybrid greens mower and Wiedenmann equipment to greenkeeping staff from North Wales and Shropshire.

Invitations were sent out to course managers and greenkeepers in the area and remarkably, out of the 40 who accepted, all turned up on a frosty morning in mid-November. Over a hearty Welsh breakfast they were welcomed by managing director John Osman, Managing before being split into two groups to view the assembled equipment. This included the latest diesel-electric hybrid Eclipse 322 greens mower from Jacobsen, the Turfco Widespin 1540 EC top dresser mounted on a Cushman Turf-Truckster, Smithco Tournament X greens iron, Iseki tractors and other sundry turf maintenance equipment. There were also demonstrations of the Terra Spike range of aerators and blowers, brushes, slitters and rakes from Wiedenmann.

Commenting on the day, Garry Huggett, John Osman Groundcare's sales manager who organised the event said, "We were delighted with the large attendance; everyone who said they were coming turned up, which is quite remarkable. We received some great feedback and booked a number of customer demonstrations as a direct result of this event. We also owe a debt of gratitude to Jez Hughes, the Vale of Llangollen's course manager for allowing us to use the facilities and to his staff for their terrific support on the day."
