Roadshows highlight weed control know-how

Weed-IT optical sensors.jpgWorld-beating weed control technology will be unveiled at the IOG SALTEX exhibition as Britain's leading contractor in the sector announces its programme of roadshows for late 2008.

Heightened sensitivity on the Mach 3 Weed-IT pesticide application system will enable Complete Weed Control (CWC) operators to deliver even greater accuracy of chemical treatment to ensure that only weeds are sprayed.

CWC is focusing on new advances on the Weed-IT - for which it has sole user rights in the UK - to push home the message to public and private sector parks and facility managers that the machine is a vital element in any pesticide reduction programme.

"Weed-IT delivers the most accurate spot treatment available anywhere," says CWC Technical Director Alan Abel. "Our mission with the roadshows is to inform those managing weed control programmes of the value of the technology in limiting the quantities of pesticides that contractors apply to pedestrian areas, enabling organisations to comply with the EU sustainable use of pesticides strategy."

Visitors can book their place on any of the roadshows, which are scheduled to be held in selected locations in England, Wales and Scotland throughout November and December, by simply stepping on to the CWC stand.
