Commenting on the appointments, Philip Cuthbert, Commercial Director said "With our existing range of products and with more on the way we are confident about continued growth. It is becoming increasingly important for us to support our customers and stockists with specialist expertise so we have begun the process of expanding our customer services department. This is a further illustration of our commitment to increasing our market share of both the UK turf and topsoil markets."

He further commented "I am impressed by Julie and Sue's skills, which have enabled them to establish themselves very quickly; their energy and drive make them ideally suited to take our busy customer services department forward and to create new standards in custmer satisfaction. These are exciting times for Rolawn."

The sales office team has been further strengthened by the promotion of Katherine Atkin to Sales Office Supervisor, Katherine joined Rolawn 3½ years ago. Her primary function will be providing administrative support to Rolawn's national depot network and field sales team, using her extensive knowledge of Rolawn's products and customer needs.

'BAGS' of work for Rolawn's new Bulk Products Production Manager

Rolawn-BAGS-OF-WORK.jpgRolawn Limited has appointed Graham Gilbertson as Bulk Product Production Manager. His role is to manage the topsoil blending and bagging operation at the company's recently acquired 21 acre site at Seaton Ross. Best know as the UK's largest turf grower Rolawn has also built a national reputation as a supplier of safe high quality topsoil.

Graham brings to his new role a wealth of experience in the packing and agricultural industry, having previously worked for Excel, a leading contract logistics company and also run his own farm.

Graham (36) is married, lives with his wife and daughter near Selby where his spare time is taken up tending his beef herd.

"At Rolawn there are some exciting plans going forward and Graham's appointment reaffirms the company's ongoing strategy of steadily expanding its overall share of the UK topsoil market" said Managing Director, Paul Dawson.


Rolawn donate turf for Normandy Community Garden


Rolawn-Normandy-Garden.jpgRolawn, Europe's largest turf grower have donated their famous Medallion turf to Normandy Community Therapy Garden near Guildford as part of the expansion of their sales area prior to opening in aid of the National Gardens Scheme.

Anne Adey, Founder and Manager of the garden commented "Rolawn kindly supplied their wonderful Medallion turf for this area. A number of our clients assisted in laying the turf as part of their accredited vocational training "Skills for Working Life" and will continue maintaining the newly established turf".
