Leading top dressing and rootzone provider, Rufford, has announced changes to its distribution channels following a strategic review of its UK business. With effect from 1st January 2008, Rufford's product range will no longer be available from Rigby Taylor and will instead be marketed via Aitkens, Alpha Amenity, Avoncrop and Border Sports.
Rufford says the change follows an in-depth analysis of its marketing and sales activities across the UK. "We've enjoyed an excellent relationship with Rigby Taylor over the years, however we now need to simplify our distribution channels and create a more direct route to market," explained Dave Robb, UK & Eire Commercial Manager. "The new arrangements will simplify our marketing activity and ensure our products are even more accessible to new and existing customers."
Rufford operates nine sites across the UK, producing a range of sports and leisure products including top dressings, rootzones, sands and tree soils.
