The company, which is headquartered in Inverkeithing, Scotland, has won the Award for Success through Sales and Marketing at Fife Business Awards, sponsored by Fife Chamber of Commerce. SGM was recognised for their innovative marketing strategy focused on developing the business' retail function and online sales strategy in order to adapt to changing markets.
SGM Contracts supply a wide range of professional grass cutting and grounds maintenance machinery for sale and for hire, as well as providing machinery servicing and spare parts. Their core customer base includes local authorities, contractors, golf courses and sports facilities; however, in the past two years they have expanded their range to cater for a much wider market including arboriculture professionals and domestic home gardeners who value their specialist knowledge.
