Same Deutz-Fahr UK launches Tractor Hire Scheme
Farmers or contractors needing extra tractor power at busy times of the year, or those who simply prefer to hire rather than purchase can now benefit from Same Deutz-Fahr's new Tractor Hire Scheme.
The scheme, operated through SDF dealers provides farmers and contractors with new Same, Deutz or Lamborghini tractors at competitive hire rates.
The Same Deutz-Fahr range of tractors provides models from 35hp right through to 262hp in a wide range of different specifications.
Under the rules of the scheme, tractors must be hired for a minimum of 16 weeks - a typical charge, for say, a 150hp Deutz Agrotron 150.6 would be £440/week. The hirer will also be responsible for servicing costs although, for a 16 week period it is unlikely that too many service intervals will be required.
Commenting on the introduction of the new Tractor Hire Scheme, SDF general manager Ken Hamilton said: "The scheme offers a very good and economical route for farmers and contractors wanting to take the tractor hire option. For some it will be an opportunity to experience driving an SDF tractor for the first time - I think it will create a favourable impression."
When the hire period is complete, the tractor is returned to the dealer who will then have the opportunity to sell on the 'low-hour' tractor to one of his customers. Alternatively, SDF will offer the tractor to other dealers.
