Sanli Launches its first-ever Diesel Ride on MOwer
Known as the ZTSD122, the all-new zero-turn radius mower is aimed at professional, estate and high-end domestic users requiring an agile and compact machine capable of producing a rapid, clean cut on both open grass and confined areas where obstacles such as trees, posts and borders can impede and slow down conventionally-steered machines.
Powered by an 18hp SANLI V-Twin water-cooled diesel engine, the SANLI ZTSD122 mower uses an identical transmission and grass-cutting system as its petrol-engined stablemate, the ZTB122, the latter having a 22hp Briggs and Stratton V-Twin Intek power unit. Both the diesel and petrol machines are fuelled by a pair of 4.4 gal (20 litre) low-profile tanks mounted one either side of the engine bay.
Independent hydraulic drive motors in the rear wheels are controlled by a pair of levers to provide infinitely-variable forward and reverse speeds of up to 20 km/h and 7.5km/h respectively.
Steering is controlled by the same two levers, enabling the mower to go from straight ahead into a pirouette in seconds, with a turning radius of little more than one metre, achieved simply by pushing one lever fully forward while pulling the other fully back. The result is an exceptionally nimble machine capable of maintaining sustained high workrates across virtually all regularly-mown grass areas.
As with all SANLI outdoor power equipment, careful thought has been given to the operating controls and working environment of the two new zero-turn radius mowers,
helping promote high output, fatigue-free mowing over long hours.
The two traction/steering levers are adjustable for height and reach and the spring-suspension seat can be adjusted both fore and aft and for rake. Fitted with two pivoting armrests, the seat comes equipped with a single lap-type seatbelt.
Other safety features fitted to SANLI's new diesel and petrol-engined zero-turn radius mowers include a foldable ROPS and a lock-out switch that prevents the machine from being started or run unless the driver is sitting on the seat.
Both machines have three belt-driven rotary blades producing a 1.22m (48in) width of cut. Grass discharge is to the offside of the deck and SANLI provides as standard a slide-in blanking plate to convert the deck in seconds from side-discharge to mulching mode. A large push-pull button mounted on the operating console is used to engage and disengage the electric blade drive clutch and the deck's cutting height is adjustable from 38mm - 140mm (1.5in - 5.5in).
Available for demonstrations from SANLI's national appointed dealer network, the ZTSD122 diesel-engined and ZTB122 petrol-engined zero-turn radius ride-on mowers are priced from £4,912.50 and £3,332.5 0 (plus VAT) respectively.
