The Scotts Company (UK) Ltd will be displaying at SALTEX the benefits of their new range of organic based turf fertilizers - formulated to give turf managers the benefits of both organic and inorganic fertilizer. New Greenmaster Organic fertilizers combine inorganic and organic nutrient sources with natural bio-stimulants, ensuring accurate, reliable provision of essential nutrients whilst also enhancing the soil micro-flora.
A brand new product - Scotts Sportsmaster Organic High N (13+5+10+TE) - will be launched at the exhibition. Designed for all turf areas with a mowing height of over 12mm, Sportsmaster Organic offers the balanced analysis appropriate for use throughout the growing season.
The organic fraction of Scotts organic fertilizer is derived from chicken manure and, in addition to providing a proportion of the nutrient charge in slow release form, will help improve soil structure, stimulate soil organisms, encourage thatch breakdown and enhance micro flora responsible for fighting turf diseases.
By combining this material with a mineral-based fertilizer, reliable provision of NPK and trace elements is assured and the product formulation can be tailored more appropriately for today's needs.
Scotts organics are also designed for ease of application, comprising a dust free, homogeneous granule giving a fast, accurate spread and a uniform turf growth and colour response. The product is low in odour and guaranteed free of weeds and other contaminants.
Scotts Technical Manager Simon Barnaby said "Greenmaster and Sportsmaster Organics are designed for the environmentally aware turf manager looking for good performance and value for money. They are efficient to use, effective, based on solid science and they work. Essentially, Scotts organics combine the reliability of mineral feeds with the benefits of organics - and none of the drawbacks."
