Kubota will be putting its new flagship agricultural tractor, the M130X, through its paces for the first time at this year's Scottish Ploughing Championships.
The world-leading manufacturer will be demonstrating its new 130hp tractor in a real-life working setting at the show, alongside other Kubota agricultural favourites such as the M40 Series tractors and the RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle.
Launched earlier this year, M130X tractor is the largest in the Kubota range and has been designed to offer a real alternative to both 'expensive' and 'economy' models. It features a four-cylinder engine, electronic fuelling and engine governing as well as Intelli-Shift 16 Speed transmission with eight-speed powershift and auto field/road modes. This can be enhanced with the new LA2253 loader, which has a lifting capacity of 2.1 tons to a maximum height of 4.1m.
"The Scottish Ploughing Championships is one of the few events where customers can see the tractors being put through their paces, so we would encourage all visitors to come along to our demonstration stand and see them in action for themselves," said a Kubota Tractor and Groundcare spokesperson.
This will be complemented by other models in the M Series tractors range, the 108hp M108S and the M40 range. These powerful and lightweight machines are extremely versatile and have been designed to tackle the most demanding jobs with ease. They are reliable and durable giving year-in year out of cost effective service.
The M40 Series tractors range, which scooped the coveted Silver medal at the 2009 Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) Machinery Awards, comprises four models spanning 63 to 95hp. The tractors feature Kubota's well-proven Tier III compliant, four cylinder E-CDIS (Centre Direct Injection System) engines.
These high performance, low emission engines provide exceptional power and efficiency, whilst minimising noise and vibration levels. Excellent fuel economy combined with a 110 litre capacity fuel tank, allow the tractors to work hour after hour without refuelling.
The tractor line-up will be complemented by Kubota's RTV900, which has set a new standard in all-terrain utility vehicles. It features a unique transmission system, advanced automotive type suspension, power steering and, thanks to the highest ground clearance in its class, this four-wheel drive vehicle is comfortable across even the most difficult terrain.
It is powered by a Kubota 22hp E-TVCS three cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, together with a unique three-range variable hydrostatic transmission system (VHT). In action, VHT delivers rapid acceleration, excellent traction and impressive hill climbing. It also provides dynamic braking for safe, controlled hill starts and descents without having to rely solely on the vehicle's brakes.
"The RTV900 has proved to be extremely popular for a wide variety of agricultural applications because of its versatility, comfort and power," added the Kubota spokesperson.
Kubota is a world leading manufacturer that has been at the forefront of innovation for commercial tractors, groundcare equipment and ride-on mowers since first entering the UK and Ireland market more than 30 years ago. The company's product portfolio now encompasses 24 tractor models between 12 and 128hp, 13 ride-on mower models, which cater for domestic and professional users alike and four variants of the class-leading RTV900 all-terrain utility vehicle.
