Shelton's Demonstration Day

Shelton Sportsturf Drainage Solutions will be hosting a working demonstration day and LDCA Council Meeting on Thursday 29th May, at Baumber Village Hall, Baumber, Horncastle, Lincs, LN9 5NF. This will be of interest to all those responsible for the management of sportsturf. Working demonstrations will also be held on Friday 30th May 9.30 - 12.00pm

In action will be the range of Shelton Supertrenchers, backfilling hoppers, gravel band drainers, low ground pressure trailers, Chain Trencher and Shelton System 25. Installing the new "Lightening Drain"Ô - the worlds fastest land drainage system will be a Supertrencher 450. Shelton will be demonstrating techniques for drainage on fairways, golf greens, football pitches, and amenity areas.

The Land Drainage Contractors Association (LDCA), is a trade organisation representing contractors and manufacturers involved with land drainage. Their council meeting will be on the Thursday morning from 9.30am - 12.30pm and will be open to all interested.

Demonstrations will commence from 1.30pm - 4.30pm on Thursday 29th May and also 9.30am - 12.00pm on Friday 30th May. Also exhibiting will be:

Lytag - suppliers of pulverised fuel ash for land drainage
John Deere - tractor and machinery manufacturers
Househam Sprayers - Tractor mounted, towed and pedestrian sprayers for amenity purposes

Golfers may be interested a round of golf (possibly at concessionary rates) at the English Golf Union Bracken Course, Woodhall Spa on Thursday afternoon from 3.30pm.
