SISIS Variseeder offers fast, accurate overseeding

Fiona Gebbettin Industry News

For rejuvenating areas such as golf greens, tees and approaches, football goal mouths and centre circles, tennis base lines and cricket squares a compact, yet accurate overseeder is needed.

The SISIS Variseeder incorporates a studded roller which creates an excellent seed bed for optimum germination, in effect creating thousands of little 'plant pots' to receive the grass seed which is broadcast simultaneously. The use of the studded roller means that overseeding can be carried out without interruption to play.

Seeding rate is variable and can be set on the simple to use SISIS Zero-Max box. A choice of two discharge rollers can be used- an ultra fine roller is available for seeding pure bents. Seed rates are from 1g/sqm on bents and fescues to 30g/sqm for ryegrass.

The Variseeder can be used with any tractor from 14hp with a three-point linkage and can be adapted to fit most trucksters. With a working width of 1.3m it offers fast workrates for the high outputs needed in the busy spring season. Additional weights can be added to the integral weight bar for extra effect in hard conditions.

A storage frame is supplied as standard with the SISIS Variseeder and can be retro-fitted to machines already in the field. This makes handling and fitting the implement to the tractor simple and safe. It can also be used to protect the implement during movement and storage as it is fitted with castor wheels for ease of movement.
