There are an estimated 9,500 injuries on construction sites every year and thousands of days' sickness taken due to ill health. And with on-site accidents estimated at costing the industry over £600 million a year, and accounting for anywhere between 3% and 6% of total project costs, employers are aware of the financial benefits of a safer workforce.
A good safety record protects the reputation of your business. Clients, customers and employees want to see evidence that your site is safe. The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) is increasingly recognised as the standard throughout the construction industry.
