If the Premier League was decided by the originality of clubs' pitch designs - Southampton would romp to the title.
The Saints groundsman, Andy Gray, has made a name for himself and the crazy patterns on the St Mary's turf, and he has produced another classic for their first home game of this season.
An intricate design, all too rarely seen in the English game, the pitch featured diamonds all across the pitch, with horizontal lines breaking them into triangles.
