Campey Turf Care Systems are living up to their reputation for making life easier for grounds professionals, with new tractor-towed spreaders for quickly and accurately applying materials such as top-dressings and fertilisers.

Between them, the two new Raycam Speedspread units can meet the needs of virtually all turf managers, from sports club groundsmen to local authority maintenance teams and contractors. Both machines are bulk drop-spreaders, designed to handle all materials, and they come with flotation tyres as standard to ensure that the risk of turf compaction is minimised.

The smaller unit is the Raycam Speedspread 18, which is suitable for 30-40hp tractors. The agitator and rollers are hydraulically driven via a heavy-duty transmission, and the hopper capacity is 2.25 cu m with a level load. The Speedspread 18 has a loading height of 1.4m (4ft 7in) and a spreading width of 1.8m (5ft 11in). Its unladen weight is 960kg (2112 lbs).

For those users seeking maximum spreading capability, Campeys are offering the larger Raycam Speedspread 24, which has spreading width of 2.4m (7ft 10in). It can be powered by tractors of 60hp and above, and the agitator and rollers are pto-driven via the heavy-duty transmission. Unladen weight is 1525kg (3355 lbs) and the unit has a 2m (6ft 6in) loading height. The hopper capacity is 5.75 cu m.

Richard Campey, the founder and Managing Director of Campey Turf Care Systems, says, "These Raycam Speedspread attachments are robustly built machines that are ideal for professional users seeking maximum efficiency and performance from spreading equipment."
