Sport Aberdeen has set aside £400,000 to modernise four sport and leisure centres in the city.
The investment plan will involve upgrade work to the Beach Leisure Centre, Alex Collie Sport Centre, Peterculter Sports Centre and Kincorth Sports Centre.
Operator Pulse Fitness is undertaking the modernisation work, which will be completed in two stages: the Beach Leisure Centre and Peterculter Sports Centre improvements will occur between 25 April and 9 May, while the two other centres will be worked on during 2-13 May.
Fred Dalgarno, Sport Aberdeen chair, said the modernisation was "critical in providing high-quality, value for money leisure facilities" on behalf of Aberdeen City Council.
