A new health club and sports complex will launch as part of the Alderley Park science and technology park in Cheshire.

The complex includes a health club and will be an integral part of Alderley Park - a large science and technology park

The complex will include three outdoor tennis courts, a five-a-side 3G football pitch, 7-a-side and 11-a-side football pitches and outdoor recreation areas. There will also be a large gym, group fitness studio and sports hall. It will also be the first site in the region to include an immersive group cycling studio, offering users the Les Mills 'The Trip' experience.

Due to open in September, the centre will be operated by leisure trust Everybody Sport and Recreation (ESR).

According to ESR CEO Peter Hartwell, the centre will offer a wide range of activities with the view of getting all parts of the community more physically active.

"We'll be putting together a varied schedule of classes, ranging from indoor group cycling to yoga, which will be open to all the people working and living at the Park as well as for the local community to enjoy," Hartwell said.

"The new gym and sports complex is an integral part of Alderley Park, which will also include a gastropub and retail outlets."

ESR currently employs more than 900 staff and the opening will offer a number of new job opportunities.

The £160m Alderley Park project is led by Bruntwood SciTech.
