Spray Cloak protects from risk of drift

Acuspray-Cloak-mr.jpgA new Spray Cloak covered boom for the walk-behind Techneat Acuspray and Acuspray Pro will enable professional landscape and turf managers to apply herbicide treatments accurately and effectively in all conditions.

The Acuspray Spray Cloak will be launched and demonstrated at Saltex 2007, on Techneat Stand No T26. (Windsor Racecourse, 4 - 6 September)

With the sprayer nozzle safely hidden beneath the Spray Cloak, surrounding turf, flower borders and environmental habitats are protected from spray drift when treating pathways, lawns and other amenity areas.

The precision-moulded Spray Cloak features a single centrally placed nozzle, with a spray pattern covering 800mm. The spray nozzle has been selected to give even and complete coverage of the target foliage, to deliver the best results with contact herbicides and other products.

The unit's designer, Tom Neat, highlights that the outstanding spraying performance of the Acuspray and Acuspray Pro is maintained by the Spray Cloak. Once fitted, the spray Cloak can be used for all spray applications, including liquid feeds, fungicides and moss killers.

"Lawn and landscape contractors are often limited from spraying by prevailing weather conditions and the potential risk to surrounding vegetation. Providing it is dry, the Spray Cloak can help to complete maintenance programmes in one visit.

"The sleek design looks great, but is manufactured to withstand general knocks and abrasions in professional use," he adds. The Spray Cloak and fitting kit is available as an optional extra on all new Acuspray and Acuspray Pro sprayers, or can be simply retrofitted to all existing machines.
