0 Sun shines for successful Ernest Doe Show

DemoTwo days of bright sunshine brought customers from as far away as North Norfolk and Worthing to the Ernest Doe Turf Care Show earlier this week.

The family firm which was established more than 100 years ago, is one of the country's largest dealerships with 19 branches and more than 550 staff covering the South and East of England, from Southampton up to The Wash. It trades under three brand names - Ernest Doe, Ernest Doe Power and Harper & Eede.

Visitors were able to browse the stands of the 34 exhibiting companies, including New Holland, Stihl, Ransomes Jacobsen and Allen Power, all of whom were more than happy to support their dealer's show. A selection of ground care machinery was put through its paces in the central demonstration area throughout the day and the whole event was professional, friendly and very well organised.Stands

The show used to take place annually, but the decision was taken to go biennial to coincide with some of the major companies' decision to attend Saltex every other year.

Andy Turbin, General Grass Machinery Sales Manager said that they'd welcomed between 400 and 500 visitors over the two days: "This year's show has been busier then ever. We're pleased with the visitor numbers and with the fact that those who've attended have generated good quality enquiries."

"It's nice for our customers to see our Head Office. They may deal with a small branch, and be totally unaware of the size of our company. We're a one-stop-shop for top-quality grounds care equipment, and the event allows us to showcase our full product offering and our service and support capabilities to our varied customer base."
