As summer draws nearer, preparations are taking place in earnest for an important event in the industry calendar - the TGA Turf Show.

The biennial event is being hosted by Simon Hutton at Fineturf on 29 and 30 June at Honington, near Grantham, and will include a wide range of activities, events and demonstrations for everyone involved in the growing, buying, selling, laying and after-care of turf for amenity, sports and landscaping.

Simon commented: "My staff and I are very proud to be hosting the show and we're looking forward to welcoming visitors, exhibitors and sponsors to our turf farm. We've got our fingers crossed for fine weather and a great turnout.

The event will be a real showcase for the wealth of expertise and superb products that combine to make TGA cultivated turf the best available.

We guarantee visitors an interesting and informative day out. As well as visiting the exhibitors' stands to get up to date on new products and services, they can enjoy refreshments, attend a turfgrass species identification workshop run by independent turf consultant and agronomist Robert Laycock and watch the latest innovations in plant and machinery being 'tried and tested' on the demonstration plots."

The TGA has received generous sponsorship from Advanta, Trebro, DLF-Perryfields, Barenbrug, British Seed Houses, Hallmarket, MJT Contracts, Campey Turfcare Systems, Moffet and BLEC.

And thanks to Pitchcare.com, registering to attend the show is easy. Simply log on to www.pitchcare.com and click on the 'TGA Turf Show' link on the left hand side of the homepage. By registering online, you'll receive free entry. Visitors are also welcome to come along and register on the day.

The show will be signposted from all major routes and there will be ample free car parking.
