The Valley Pitch is protected

Heavy rain in South-East London on Thursday prompted the Addicks to take measures to protect the Valley pitch.

Under the supervision of Valley groundsman Colin Powell, contractors covered the surface on Wednesday night to better prepare the pitch for Saturday's Championship match against Ipswich Town.
