Three is a Magic Number

Press Releasein Industry News

Ernest DoeThe London Borough of Havering has just taken delivery of three MAJOR TDR16000 Roller Mowers.

The recession means shrinking budgets. The pressure on groundsmen to produce pristine finishes under demanding deadlines is getting more intense. "MAJOR machines give superb value for money. This helps my budget go much further," said Martin Haskell, Grounds Maintenance Manager at London Borough of Havering. "The MAJOR TDR16000 cuts 13 acres per hour. It goes a long way in helping us get through our workload."

"We are really impressed with strength of these machines," said Martin. "The MAJOR twin cut blade system is fantastic when dealing with long wet grass," continued Martin. "These machines are simple to maintain so there is very little downtime. MAJOR can supply us with spares within 24 hours which is invaluable."

"The in-cab remote control is a useful feature. We can control the decks without leaving the tractor cab," explained Martin. "The rear deck can be removed and used on its own, which is brilliant; we get two machines in one."

"My team and I also have a MAJOR MJ2000 Flail Collector. This is a real multi-purpose machine. It is used for cutting and collecting grass during the spring and summer," said Martin. "During the spring and autumn we use it to scarify the grounds"

"Our job is getting tougher but it helps to have reliable cost effective kit. It also helps to have the support of MAJOR and Richard Freeman at Ernest Doe in Ulting." concluded Martin.
