0 Thumbs Up for Sanli Chainsaws From Professional Tree Surgeon

SANLI 2.jpg"It's an impressive machine for the price, well made and a willing performer." So says Buckinghamshire tree specialist, John Ayres, speaking about the SANLI CS37-40 chainsaw added recently to the equipment inventory of his company, J Ayres Forestry.

Founded by John's grandfather almost 90 years' ago, the Stokenchurch-based tree and vegetation management business christened its new SANLI chainsaw on a contract involving the felling and removal of around 200 ash trees at a private school in High Wycombe.

"The trees were growing on an area of sloping ground separating two playing fields," explained John. "The roots were starting to emerge from the turf on the upper level, causing a major safety hazard. We were engaged to remove all of the trees and their roots and make good the ground, a job which took almost four weeks to complete."

Working with his son, Jason, a qualified tree climber, John Ayres employed a top-handled chainsaw to remove the upper part of every tree before using his new SANLI chainsaw to help fell the trees, remove their branches and cut up the trunks into 1.2m lengths.

"Maximum diameter of the trees was around 30cm so the SANLI chainsaw with its 40cm bar was the ideal size both for felling and for reducing the timber to manageable lengths," said John. "The machine proved easy to handle and packs a fair punch for its weight, especially when considering that it can be purchased new for around £100 without the VAT."

SANLI 3.jpgSince the completion of the school contract in May, a larger SANLI CS45-45 model with 45cm (18in) bar has been added by John to the company's equipment list.

"Both machines are great little chainsaws that offer excellent value for money," concluded John. "I will have no hesitation in using either machine within the business for felling and trimming of smaller trees. In my opinion, they are ideal for home, farm and estate owners wanting a quality, robust machine for fencing, logging or lighter tree work at ground level."
