Allen Power Equipment has announced the re-introduction of the Merry Tiller range of rotary cultivators.

Merry Tillers were first marketed in the early 1990's by Allen, and are again being added to the company's line-up with the product now being manufactured by Mackissic, a major supplier to Allen Power Equipment of Mighty Mac Chipper/Shredders and the new Stump Cutter. Merry Tiller is probably the best known name in tillers.

They are renowned for their rugged dependable performance and mid-tine design providing even weight distribution and better balance with deeper, faster tilling.

The heart of the Merry Tiller is the gearbox, featuring high quality steel roller chain running on heat treated sprockets and heavy-duty gears.

The new Merry Tiller range consists of the MT410 Minnie Tiller, powered by a hp Briggs & Stratton engine and a tilling width of 12in-18in (30cm-45cm). Tough and durable, the MT410 has standard size slasher blades and retails at £550.

The larger machine in the Merry Tiller stable is the Suburban ST61AL. This rugged unit has a 6hp Briggs & Stratton Intek engine and is suitable for most tilling applications and soil conditions.

A tilling width of 18in-26in (45cm-66cm) means the Suburban is the choice of the serious gardener with a RRP of £700.

All prices include Vat.
