TORO launches Multi Pro 5700-D for large scale turf spraying

Toro is launching the Multi Pro 5700-D large-capacity, heavy-duty turf sprayer at BTME in January. The unit is designed for use on golf courses, sports grounds and amenity locations where high productivity and durability are required to carry out large-scale spraying operations. This makes the machine ideal for contractor use, says the company.

The sprayer's traction unit is styled on Toro's popular Workman utility vehicle and is powered by a 35.5hp Kubota diesel engine. An 18ft 6in boom system is fitted, available in both open and enclosed options; while a large, 300-gallon spray tank is big enough for large-area application, minimising downtime and the need for frequent refills.

Even application is guaranteed by the proven, proportional drive spray-control system already found on Toro's smaller-capacity Multi Pro 1250 model. Uniquely, this is geared to the drive wheels so that the application flow rate is instantly adjusted in proportion to changes in vehicle speed.

The spray system on the Multi Pro 5700-D has a dual-diaphragm pump that can be run dry without damage to the seals or pump, and the o-ring sealed system components are designed to be leak-free.

The Multi Pro is also fitted with a hydrostatic drive system and a Pro Control computerised controller that allows easy calibration of chemical flow rates.

Also making its BTME debut is Toro's new Fairway Groomer, which fits on to the company's Reelmaster 5000 and 6000 mowers to keep golf course fairways looking immaculate.

Orders for both the Multi Pro 5700-D sprayer and Fairway Groomer will be available for immediate delivery after the show.

The new Pro Sweep 5200 core collector completes the line-up of Toro introductions at BTME. The unit mounts on to Toro's heavy duty Workman vehicle and is designed for collecting cores on golf greens and tees.

It is also suitable for sweeping up organic debris such as leaves, twigs and divots from fairways, sports grounds and landscaped areas.
