PR4083 Dan DubasTop distributor Lely UK has strengthened its 'Partners in Turfcare' team with three strategic appointments.

This trio of new appointments is key to further improving the St Neots-based company's turf products offering, which includes the famous Toro range of turf maintenance machinery and irrigation systems, but also Solo outdoor equipment, TYM Tractors, Otterbine aerating fountains and Bailoy irrigation control software.

First up is Neil Adams, who joins as Lely's new turf products training manager. Neil has a wealth of training expertise under his belt, having previously worked as training manager for a large construction company, where he developed a training school and workshops, plus produced City & Guilds accreditations and online learning tools.

Throughout his construction career, Neil has been delivering industry-leading training and so will be instrumental in furthering Lely's training offering. He says: "I am keen to liaise with dealers and end users to find out more about their needs, and also hope to develop an online learning culture. My aim is to see Lely even more widely recognised as a centre of excellence for training on turfcare products."

Dan Dubas has been promoted to the position of parts sales and marketing representative for Toro and turf products as well as forage. Already an established member of the Lely team, Dan has been working for the forage parts department for the past five years and will continue to work for this side of the business.

But his parts knowledge and experience means he's really able to hit the ground running in this newly created role. A key part of Dan's role will be visiting dealers and customers to promote the importance of stocking plentiful supplies of genuine parts in order to keep products in tip-top working condition. "This is an exciting new challenge for me and I'm eager to get to know the dealers and customers to ensure their parts needs are met," he comments.

Robert Green, meanwhile, has been recruited as technical engineer for Toro golf irrigation products. Prior to joining Lely in September, Rob, 25, worked for irrigation contractor Ocmis and progressed to the position of site manager after joining from college. Having come to specialise in Toro products during his time at Ocmis, joining Lely was a natural next step for him, and his technical know-how and attention to detail at installation stage will be invaluable to the customers he will regularly be out on the road visiting. He concludes: "I'm looking forward to seeing customers and growing my knowledge of the Toro product range."

Commenting on the appointments, turf products managing director Graham Dale says: "We're delighted to welcome Neil and Robert to the team, and to see Dan progress up the Lely career ladder. We are already well known and relied upon for our specialist training, parts and irrigation products knowledge, and I'm confident that - with these new recruits on board - customers and supply chain partners will continue to benefit from even higher standards of expertise and service in those fields."
