The stunning Fairmont St Andrews, the luxury resort at the Home of Golf, is looking to raise the levels of its customer experience even higher after appointing the world's largest golf management company, Troon®, to oversee its operation.

Troon is the market leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, with clients in 29 countries. And Jane McGee, director of sales and marketing at the multi-award-winning Fairmont St Andrews believes visitors to the resort's two championship golf courses - The Torrance and The Kittocks - will soon reap the benefits.

She explained: "We believe that we already have two of the best courses around, in a region that is blessed with outstanding golf facilities. But we have felt for some time that the entire visitor experience would benefit from a more co-ordinated and holistic approach, and, in appointing Troon, Fairmont St Andrews has moved to raise the standards to a level normally experienced only in the highest quality overseas properties.

"Troon has an unrivalled track record in enhancing the golfer's experience from the ground up: from just simply booking tee-times through to the reception at the starter's hut. And, when taken with Fairmont St Andrews' decision to reduce green fees for 2015, we believe golfers will really notice a big difference in their visit this year."

Dana Garmany, the founder and CEO of Troon, added: "Troon Golf has always benefitted from a strong relationship with Scottish players and we are extremely pleased to welcome Fairmont St Andrews to our International collective, and our global portfolio. St Andrews is a spectacular region, rich in heritage and we're excited to have been chosen to manage what will be a thrilling future for the venue as we enhance an already exciting golf experience."

Fairmont St Andrews is now able to benefit from the collective-knowledge gained by the management of more than 250 courses world-wide, using best-practices to elevate the standards across the board at the 'Home of Golf'. In addition, it now becomes part of Troon's extensive loyalty schemes, specifically Troon Advantage, which offers members of the brand's facilities preferential rates at other member facilities world-wide.

The multi-award-winning Fairmont St Andrews sits in a majestic cliff-top location overlooking the North Sea and the historic 'Auld Grey Toon'.

Voted IAGTO's European Golf Resort of the Year in 2012 and winner of the award for 'best large hotel' in the 2014 Scottish Golf Tourism Awards, the resort boasts two championship golf courses - The Torrance and The Kittocks - and has played host to a number of prestigious events, including both the Open Championship's final local qualifying and the Scottish Senior Open, which it has hosted for the past six years.

In addition to golf events Fairmont St Andrews has also hosted some of the world's most important politicians and powerbrokers as a venue for both Northern Ireland peace talks and a G20 Summit.

As well as exceptional golf and a world-class spa, Fairmont St Andrews includes award-winning dining, luxurious guest accommodation and exceptional service, as well as unfettered access to the charms of the old town of St Andrews itself, the unique Home of Golf.

And golfers looking to head to the area ahead of July's 144th Open Championship on the Old Course can enjoy unlimited golf on both of Fairmont St Andrews championship layouts in its outstanding 'Swing into Spring' package, available until the end of March.

Costing from just £134 per person, the package also includes a night's accommodation, full Scottish breakfast, and three-course dinner in either La Cucina or the Squire restaurants. And all this is in addition to unlimited golf on either the Torrance or Kittocks courses at the resort.

The offer is valid Sunday to Thursday, throughout March, subject to availability, and is based on double occupancy.
