Unique rear roller brushes on Jacobsen TR3 delights customer

TR3-Purdis_12C.jpgThe Jacobsen TR3 tees and surrounds mower, manufactured in the UK by RANSOMES JACOBSEN, has been in the marketplace for three years and sales growth is continuing apace as greenkeepers become more aware of the timesaving effect of the unique rear roller brushing system.

A staunch advocate of the system is Terry Edwards, Head Greenkeeper at Hoebridge Golf Centre, located near Woking in Surrey and owned by Burhill Golf and Leisure.

"A great innovation and one that saves us hours of time early in the day when preparing our tees, which are often wet with dew or from overnight rain," he said. "The brushes are so efficient that we no longer have to swish the tees or box off. With 45 holes to contend with, the time saving is invaluable, and we can get out ahead of the golfers and prepare the courses to the high standards they expect. I really can't understand why other clubs do not follow our example; it gives us back the one thing we all crave and that's time to do other important jobs around the course! "

Available as a factory-fitted option or as a retro fit kit, the brushes are available for both the 7-knife and 11-knife floating head units manufactured here in the UK.

Rupert Price, Ransomes Jacobsen's UK and Ireland Sales Manager added, "We're delighted with the uptake on these units, which are unique on a tees and surround mower. With its 28hp Kubota diesel engine, the TR3 provides plenty of power to the brushing system without compromising the superb quality of cut you get from a Jacobsen machine."
