Wardens plan for Trowbridge Park revealed

Press Releasein Local Authority

Wardens could soon be patrolling Trowbridge Park as part of a £390,000 project to employ young people who have been on the dole for at least six months.

The town council says it hopes to be able to employ up to 60 young people aged 18 to 24 for up to a year.

It is investigating the idea of employing four as park wardens to patrol the Town Park and improve safety, as well as others as sports apprentices in schools and clubs across west Wiltshire.

The money has come from central government's Future Jobs Fund, which aims to offer everyone aged 18 to 24 who has been looking for work for a year an offer of a job, work experience or six months training.
