With an eye to providing a truly nationwide service, the doors of White Horse Contractors (Northern) Limited are now open for business.

This expansion of the company's operations will provide the opportunity to tap-in to a real and attractive market much more cost effectively. The new company is a subsidiary of White Horse Contractors. This means they will be able to maximise on the skills and resources of the Head Office which, for over 4 decades, has been providing quality solutions to its clients.

Jim Crabbe a senior Contracts Manager will be leading operations at the new company's offices, strategically located near Thirsk. Since joining White Horse, he has proved his ability in the development of new markets. His wealth of experience in the sportsturf industry will benefit both new and existing northern clients.

Why Thirsk? Situated within easy access of the A1 and exactly 200 miles from the company's head office at Abingdon, it allows for good strategic and logistic links. It is in fact local to some of the company's existing workforce, who have already been working on projects in the north.

White Horse Contractors (Northern) Limited has identified key markets such as Local Authorities, Local Education Authorities, Sports Clubs and obviously Golf Clubs not to mention a large number of private clients. It will undertake all sportsturf construction, earthworks, drainage and maintenance, as well as environmental works and water engineering.

The new company has already secured a number of exciting projects and hopes to develop relations with architects, specifiers and consultants operating in the north.
