Wiedenmann UK brings its widest ever product to the NEC but happily it folds to an easily transportable size
The Terra Rake, a perennial favourite, has been re-engineered giving show visitors first opportunity to see how the 4.6m wing span doubles both output and width.
Integral to the new design is a folding frame making the versatile verticut harrow significantly more time efficient for sizeable areas. In essence the folding frame means that two separate same-sized units either 1.6 m or 2.1 m, can be transported together and 'joined' when in work mode, the folding mechanism operating hydraulically from in cab controls.
Appearing alongside will be a new 1.7m electric trailed draw bar option of the Terra Rake with electric wheels which doesn't need linkage attachment. Another all new design, it features a four row configuration of tines and is ideal for working in more confined areas where power units have easier access.
Again in keeping with their continuous commitment to R&D, Wiedenmann's Mega Twister also unveils two new options. It introduces an easily attached goose neck spout so the wind nozzle can be set parallel to the floor, the new position optimising the massive output. The second development is an electrical operation to the nozzle. This new facility allows tractors with just one double spool valve to operate the "left to right" swivel action hydraulically and the "up and down" motion via an electric ram thus not requiring a second hydraulic service which is not always standard. The two new accessories to the Wiedenmann blower range means users can also direct the outlet spout to different angles depending on the conditions, particularly on undulating ground. The new options also give the end user additional versatility making the blowers much more productive.
Wiedenmann UK's stand will also feature two Terra Spikes - the XD8 and the Gxi8 -plus the capacious Super 600 3-1 mower/collector / sweeper.
