Fescue is a species that thrives in even the most extreme conditions and favours low nutrient situations where maintenance is reduced. The mix will provide excellent drought resistance through good root establishment, under favourable conditions, and provide outstanding disease resistance as Fescue is naturally disease resistant. All cultivars have been firmly established on the British Society of Plant Breeder (STRI) listings for several years, they provide excellent green coverage year-round for a 100% fescue mix. Fescue is commonly used in natural situations where inputs are lower. It reproduces vegetatively through rhizomes enabling it to spread and fill surrounding areas.
LM1 has a seed coating that aids germination and early establishment. Preparation of the seedbed and consistent moisture will ensure that sufficient nutrients are available for newly established turf. Nutrient level can be assessed with a soil test.
All cultivars featured in this mixture are independently tested and rated for performance by the Sports Turf Research Institute. LM1 Fine Lawn Grass Seed has a coating to aid growth and establishment.
