Head Grounds Manager

Starting at the earliest possible date

We offer an attractive opportunity to take on the long-term position of Head Grounds Manager at SC Preußen Münster, an ambitious club competing in Germany’s 2nd Bundesliga. The club will play in a newly-built stadium from 2028 and already features high-quality pitches, a modern machinery fleet and a motivated team of grounds men. The club will also shortly introduce high-end hybrid turf pitches.

Your responsibilities 

• Overall responsibility for greenkeeping at the LVM-Preußenstadion and all training facilities
• Maintenance of 2 hybrid turf pitches (from summer 2026), 1 natural turf pitch and 2 artificial turf pitches
• Coordination, scheduling, and deployment of external service providers
• Team leadership as well as training and further development of existing greenkeeping team (2 full-time, 3 part-time)
• Close cooperation with sporting management and technical stadium operations
• Working hours may include weekends and public holidays, depending on match schedules

Your profile

• Completed qualification as a Certified Head Greenkeeper or a comparable qualification
• At least five to ten years of professional experience in greenkeeping for football pitches
• Strong leadership skills and a high level of organizational ability, reliability, and initiative
• German language skills are not required

Additional Info

• 30 days of annual leave per year (+ bank holidays)
• No responsibility for any outside areas. We want the successful candidate to solely focus on the pitches.
• Club will of course help finding accommodation and adapt to life in Germany
• There are direct flights from London-Stansted to Münster. Happy to fly in a suitable candidate and have him tour our facilities any time
