Head Groundsperson

This is an exciting opportunity for a Heads Groundsperson, to take responsibility for our Sports pitches. 

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and flexible colleague who takes real pride in their work to lead the maintenance of our sports playing surfaces.

If you are appointed you will join a close and well-established team of a Estates Manager and Facilities Assistants along with our students and the rest of our staff to keep Bootham one of the best maintained schools in York.

About this Role

Responsible for the oversight and upkeep of the sports pitches, sports facilities, grounds and gardens at Bootham senior and junior schools to ensure they are always maintained to the highest standards, and show the school in the best possible light. This includes the maintenance and safe operation of a range of grounds equipment and vehicles, and working with contractors as necessary.
