Arsenal make big cut in mowing time with new Toro Ride-on

Arsenal have significantly reduced the time it takes to cut the Highbury pitch by bringing in a new Toro Reelmaster 2000-D ride-on triple mower to work alongside their existing machinery.

Stadium groundsman Paul Burgess said: "It used to take around two hours with pedestrian mowers, but with the new Toro we've significantly reduced this time, which allows us to carry out more maintenance procedures on the pitch."

Paul was looking for a machine that would give him the option of a quick cut when he needed it. He said: "I wanted to go with this Toro model because I believe it's the best on the market for a stadium environment. I have spoken to groundsmen from other football clubs who use the Reelmaster and they are seeing great results and more flexibility in mowing time.

"The quality and speed of cut is superb and from an operator's point of view it's very comfortable and easy to use. Bringing it to Highbury was a sound investment."

Paul already uses Toro's MultiPro 1250 sprayer and ProCore tractor-mounted aerator as part of his turf maintenance programme.

Service and back-up is provided by local Toro dealer Grasshopper.
