The new BLEC Shakervator was shown at the SalonVert show near BordeauxGary Mumby, managing director of BLEC Global, has been building on the company's successful European sales with a demo tour to Switzerland and by exhibiting at the SalonVert Landscaping Show near Bordeaux - all in the space of two weeks.

"With exports 50 per cent of our business our presence abroad is vital," says Gary. "We work hard to maintain our sales in Europe and the SalonVert show was excellent for us, being largely landscaping and sportsturf visitors. We had very positive inquiries both at the show and afterwards."

Gary also travelled to Switzerland to carry out demonstrations of their very latest equipment to potential customers and dealers.

Gary launched a new Compact Stumpgrinder and the BLEC Shakervator at IOG SALTEX, Windsor, where they sold several machines from both their construction and turfcare range.

Among other products launched this year were:

*The BLEC Multivator, a multi-use machine carrying out a wide range of tasks achieved with only one drive unit - decompacting, soil recycling and topdressing all in one pass.

Gary founded BLEC (now BLEC Global) in 1986 with wife Sue. Previously a landscaper, he realised he could design and manufacture specialist machines for the grounds care industry.

Their factory near Peterborough employs around 25 people and most of the machinery is British manufactured.
As well as their HQ in Peterborough, BLEC has a new US distribution unit in Florida, previously located in South Carolina.
