CHIP 3 deadline approaching

Chemical distributors are being reminded by Bayer Environmental Science that the deadline for getting CHIP 2 labelled products out of their stores is fast approaching.

At the end of July, all products to be sold on by distributors must bear CHIP 3 level markings. There is currently no 'use-by' date for end users who have CHIP 2 labelled products in stock.

CHIP specifies what information has to go onto the label and how it should be featured. The product label also features the approval conditions under The Control of Pesticides Regulations. For the Material Safety Data Sheets, MSDS, CHIP sets standards for information quality and gives 16 headings under which it should be provided.
