A Groundsman has an unusual solution to get rid of rabbits plaguing a playing field - human hair.

The fluffy pests' digging habits were an increasing problem at the local rugby playing pitch in Corwen.

That is until, inspired by a film he had seen years ago, grandad Peter Hughes decided to see if hair really could be an effective deterrent.

The solution involved going to the local barbers, bagging up the hair cuttings and spreading them across the field.
