Dennis & SISIS launch 2013 seminar programme

CIMG3067Cricket Groundsmen will shortly have the opportunity to refresh their education on how to maintain their pitches, courtesy of Dennis & SISIS.

The company are once again showing their commitment to turf professionals by staging a seminar in conjunction with Andy Mackay, host and Head Groundsman at Sussex County Cricket Club, in Hove on Thursday 28th February 2013.

Delegates will hear presentations from an impressive line-up of speakers, starting with Andy Mackay giving an update on the re-laying of the pitch at the host cricket ground and be followed by BBC commentator Tony Cottey, an ex-cricket player. He will be putting forward a player's point of view of Groundsmen, whilst Tony Pigott, ECB Pitch Liaison Officer, will explain the role of the PLO.

CIMG3055During the day Stuart Kerrison, Head Groundsman at Essex CCC will address the issue of producing good surfaces and keeping the coach happy. Fellow Groundsman Barry Glynn from East Molesey Cricket Club expresses the frustrations of a club cricket groundsman with Andy Mackay rounding off the day with practical tips on Life at the Hove - planning a season. The seminar will also give delegates the opportunity to have informal discussions with industry experts.
