At Saltex 2004, Dennis will show how their versatile, multi-tasking turf care machinery is raising standards and boosting efficiency for countless grounds care professionals. Also, a brand new machine will be unveiled.

Many groundsmen would not be without their Dennis 'FT' machines. These walk-behind units give a precision finish on fine turf areas, such as golf greens and tees, bowling greens, soccer pitches, cricket fields, tennis courts and ornamental lawns. 'FT' and 'G' series machines accept purpose-built quick-change 'cassette' attachments for essential tasks like verti-cutting, scarifying, aerating and brushing, making them a tremendous cost-effective investment.

Designed and built by Dennis in Britain, the machines are available with cutting widths from 17-34in (43-86cm). All are light in weight, exert minimal pressure on the turf, and are easy to manoeuvre.

Brand new at Saltex will be the G660, a 26in (66cm) model boasting all the high work-rate features of its larger stablemates. A number of new cassette options for the entire range will also be on display.

These versatile Dennis mowers are proving invaluable for countless users at home and abroad. They include sports clubs, schools, National Trust properties and major sporting venues such as the Millennium Stadium, Hampden Park, Twickenham and Queens Lawn Tennis Club.

Many local authorities and contractors use these multi-tasking machines, which prove highly efficient under Best Value regimes. Glasgow City Council recently bought 34 more units to add to its existing fleet of 13, making the city one of the biggest users of Dennis equipment.

Since the FT and G units can tackle so many jobs year-round, essential work can be done quickly at exactly the right time. Many of the cassette attachments have been developed as a result of user feedback.

"Saltex is always a major showcase for us," says Dennis' MD Ian Howard. "We meet old and new customers, and can tell them about the latest developments and updates. Our constant investment in R&D has resulted in important incremental improvements to the range as well enabling us to design products such as the high work-rate S500 powered slitter and the Mowersafe security system. In an era of fast-changing legislation, we are staying ahead of the game, producing low noise, low vibration equipment that is easy, safe and comfortable to use. And that helps turf professionals to stay at the forefront."

Saltex takes place at Windsor Racecourse from 7-9 September.
