Three men who suffered massive electric shocks on a school sports field are now recovering from their ordeal at home.

Trevor Mott, Chris Young and Ivor Lloyd have been released from hospital after the incident at the King's School Ely on Tuesday, September 15.

As reported in the News, the trio, who are groundsmen at the independent school, suffered electric shocks while putting up a rugby post near high-voltage power lines.

Emergency services were called to the incident at 2.15pm on Angel Drove, Ely, after the post made contact with the 33,000-volt electricity cable.
