Find me a job! – Andy Smith

Position sought - Groundsman (ideally winter games pitches/multi sports venue)

Location - Within 40 mile radius of Southend, including north Essex, London area and Kent.

The fifth individual to be feature in our 'Find me a job' campaign is Andy Smith, a football groundsman with 25 years' experience at a number of high-profile clubs and educational establishments.

Andy, who lives in south Essex, was made redundant three weeks ago from Millwall Football Club after managing the pitches at the club's training ground for the past five years. In the past, he spent seven years working at Tottenham Hotspur's training ground.

As well as being an experienced groundsman, he has experience of managing ornamental lawns and gardens. Andy is a confident communicator and works well under pressure.

In order to meet his financial commitments, he is currently carrying out gardening jobs in his local area but is desperate to find full-time employment in the sports turf industry.

He has City & Guilds Level 2 in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management and pa1, 2 and 6 spraying certificates.

He also has a full, clean UK driving licence and is willing to commute.
